Here is some meanings to words I might use that you don't understand .. I will add words as I blog..
Dem- Jamaican word for they or them
Foody- Lover of food
FML- Fuck- it Make Lemonade .. This is when life throws me sour lemonsIntermission- A lil thought injected in my blog sometimes random
Lawd- Jamaican way of calling the lords name in vain
Poor ting- Jamaican way of having sympathy
S/O- Significant Other aka My man
Its bad enough my week started like crap but couldn't it had ended better than this? Out of all the assignments I could have gotten, I got the one that ended late and starts early. So I miss my flight home on Friday and I don't even get to spend thanksgiving with at least family today *sigh*.. I mean seriously how many lemonade can a girl drink? My mouth is tasting quite Tart at this time.. Its moments like this it hard to stay POSITIVE.. I find my positive side slowly fading /\/\/\/\_/\__/\__________ as this month has been truly rough on me.. I got mad, shed a few tears, belted out a few cuss words, went to sleep and woke up with one thing on my mind FML (Fuck-it Make Lemonade).. So pardon my negative disposition at this time I have lost my positive button. Yes I know there is worse things going on than this, but right about now I can only focus on what I am currently going through. So with a deep sigh *Exhale and Inhale* I shall say, hand me the brown sugar, its time to make some more lemonade ...
I have finally moved to Miami and yes I am getting closer to JA. I am now shacking up, living in sin, as the Christians would tell you with my hunny Andre ... Poor ting don't know what he got himself in, I guess he will find out eventually. Can I tell you, I LOVE my Condo. It was worth the wait and irritation I had to go through. We are currently trying to fix up the place, and I cannot wait to see the final product. The view is very peaceful and serene, and I don't to have turn on my AC if i don't want to.. Now let me tell you, I have realized Miami is totally different from Fort Lauderdale or even West Palm Beach. This is the Latin America of Florida and if you don't speakie Spanish you are screwed. Spanish seem to be the spoken language down here and trust and believe these folk dont ramp to tell you lo siento no hablo Ingles. English is mere a secondary or luxury language down these parts. There is a lot to do here and I have yet to really venture out and explore my new city. There is always something going on every week in the park and majority of the time its free. Where I am located is close to the bars and restaurants.You know that this makes my greedy butt happy. Well this is just a highlight of my new spot, stay tuned for more from down south...
So i have realized I have replaced my party cup with a dish washing sponge and fab soap ... Eeeek when did this happen? It feels like it happened overnight when I was not watching... I went from partying all night to watching tv and doing laundry all night.. THIS HAS DEF got to stop.. I am a party girl, not a house mouse .. I need to be rocking my heels and shaking what my momma gave me ;not putting clothes on hangers and folding clothes .. Yes i am a suzy home maker but this suzy homemaker likes to rock the party too.. So I say this, I am putting down the soap sponge and reclaiming my drinking cup! Now all i have to say is... Who's with me?
So I was watching black in America on CNN, (which i must add is a good little series) and this family had a debt of $10,000 but only made $8,000 a month. Now I understand that we are going through hard times but this is what confused me with this family. They pay a tide of 10% of their monthly income which is *drum roll* $800 to the church they attend. Now as stated before, I did say they were $2,000 short every month. So can you tell me why this is going to the church and not their bills? I mean come on, where is the common sense in this reasoning?I know god would understand if you are trying to get yourself out of debt etc.. As its stated the lord help those who help themselves and I think this falls under that category.. The irony of this is, do you think the pastors are going to offer their nice homes you paying for when your butt is out in the cold? I think not. I have no problem with religion but I think the church has been so crooked and money hungry because they know they can get away with it because of silly people like this. These people truly need to wake the HELL up cause this is a dumb move on their part in more ways than one...
